Dozens of Children Killed in Japan

At least 18 children were killed in the eastern Indian state, Bihar, during the last two weeks due to inflammatory disease of the brain (ensefailitis) from Japan. As stated by an Indian health officials in Patna, India.

"We suspect the children contracted the disease Japanese encephalitis. The disease has attacked several villages in Muzaffarpur district, and more than 50 children under age six were undergoing treatment in different hospitals," the official said.

According to doctors, the children experienced fever, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of consciousness, and seizures. Last year, 20 anaktewas in the region with the same symptoms.

Bihar government said it will seek to resolve the situation. "We've put a doctor in the district with a high alert," a Bihar government official.
